"B-17in action" Aircraft Number 63 by Squadron/signal publications has the main differances for each model which should help but not for that specific tail number.

Can't help you with that particular aircraft but I have a review of the differences between the "E" and "F" models on my site as well as a continuous build project for a 1/48 B-17E. This may help with some of the technical differences.

The B-17E was virtually the same aircraft as the B-17F. the major differences are: "the B-17F is at first distinguishable from later E-models by the F's use of a longer plexiglass nose piece with no metal ribbing. F-models were also fitted with wider paddle blade propellers for altitude performance, and, as with the B-24, this change necessitated a revision to the engine cowling to permit the wider blades to feather. Self-sealing oil tanks were also added to the F-model, and so-called Tokyo tanks added 1,100 additional galons of gas to the capacity of later B-17Fs by filling the space in the wings. B-17Fs typically employed enlarged and staggered cheek gun windows" (This is lifted from the WarbirdTECH series of books.) So, just build a B-17F with different blades, cowlings and windows, and you have a B-17E.
