Some outstanding builds, John! Especially the Sabre! From what I can see of the ammo bay, it looks like quite an exceptional piece of detailing! Beautiful workCool [8D]

Warmest regards,

Holy moly! That is some really excellent work John. If I keep trying I may get to that level some day. I like them all. The rigging on your bi-plane is especially nice. Good show. Captain [4:-)]

Beautiful work!  Like your choice of subject material, too.

Why, yes it is, though I can't place Mike.  I do know who Garrison Keeler is, but in my flying days I never found Lake Woebegone.  Maybe it would be easier nowadays with GPS and GoogleEarth, eh?  Thanks for the nice comment.

Those are some sweet looking builds John!  Wanna hear something funny?  Your name came up a couple of weeks ago during a discussion with a fellow modeler at my LHS here in WI.  I was thanking Michael Luedke for an award he gave me in March at our local contest, and he mentioned living in CA some of the time.  I remembered the area as being close to you, and he said he knew who you were.  Small world, ain't it?

2008 build list

Here is my list for 2008, near as I can figure:

January - 1/72 Revell Germany Junkers F.13, Secret Santa II and Airliner GB

March -  1/48 Siemens Schuckert DIIIa,Knights of the Sky WWI GB

June -

1/48 Tamiya Birdcage F4U-1A, Corsair GB

1/144 Revell Germany Junkers G.38, Airliner GB

1/32 Hasegawa Grumman F6F-3, Grumman Group Build

August

1/48 Collect-Aire P-51H, P-51 GB

1/48 Academy/Revell F-86E, Forgotten War GB, 1/48 Tamiya GMC 6X6

October - 1/9 Scale MiG-29 Cockpit

So that's 9, I guess.  I also built several tugs and trailers from the ProModeler ground equipment sets.   There are build pictures of most all of these and previous models on my web pages, here:   http://yolo.net/~jeaton/mymodels/mymodels.htm

I got in to repairing some of my R/C aircraft late this year so my plastic production fell off.  A very scale 1/6 J-3 Cub with a resin engine and a 1/5 sort of scale P-51 as well as 3 other airplanes have been flown so I have not been a total slacker.  I have a Monogram 1/48 F-101B, a 1/72 Williams Curtiss C-46 (going on 3 years now! but I WILL finish it in 2009!) and a Testors R3C which my grandaughter is doing most of the work on, now under way.  I will not mention the stack of shame off to the side.

John
