Thanks! You've answered my question. I'll be attempting panel lines shortly...

Respectfully, Dobby

I'm calling the HE-100 finished!!!

For those of you who did not see this post in the Prototype GB the end of this build revealed the shortcomings of this short run kit. The 3 piece canopy I planned to use so the cockpit could be viewed did not fit. So I ended up using the 1 piece which fit slightly better. Other than the wheels the rest of the landing gear parts were poorly molded and difficult to assemble. Then there was the stupid mistake of dipping the wing tip in super glue (I did a seperate post on this and see I'm not the only person afflicted with this condition. We should give it a nameSmile,Wink, & Grin [swg].

Anyway I am very happy with the end result. Here's some pics.

Thanks for looking.

Tom-

That really is an outstanding build, bravo!  You mention the shortcomings and errors, but in the photos I see none of those.  Just a well built and beautifully painted model.  You should be rightly proud of this one, and I must admit- Now I have to get myself one of these! Approve [^]

Well done Tom. It looks like you whipped that short run kit right into shape.

Beautiful work Tom... She's a beauty!

What did you use for your antenna wire?

Frank,

Thanks! The effort was worth the results. As always I appreciate compliments from accomplished builders such as yourself.

Soulcrusher,

Thanks for looking!

Jmabx,

Thanks. The atenna wire is invisible thread thread painted black. My wife picked it up for me at the fabric/sewing supply store.

Phonetics,

Thanks. New to the forum?

Nicefit,

Thanks for looking. How's the P-40B coming along?
