Airfix offers (or offered anyway) pairs of kits where each kit represented a plane that was the adversary of the other. Airfix called this a "Dogfight Double." For example, they offered the Roland CII and RAF R.E.8. in one box. Airfix went all out, having figures for the planes and stands to that they could be posed in the midst of a dogfight. It sounds like neat stuff.
Has anyone built his or her own dogfight doubles? For example, I'm building an F-4J that shot down a MiG-21 and hit another. I'd like to build a MiG-21, in proper NVAF markings, to display with this plane. One could do a Hellcat vs. a Zero. Or a MiG-3 vs. a BF-109. AVG P-40 vs. Japanese Hyabusa. The list is endless.
One could even pose the planes in flight relative to one another to give a sense of action to a static display.
What do you folks think?
