Madda, it's kind of on hold for a little while... probably until the weather gets better and I can spray outside... or until I get a spray booth set up. As for Max, I do need to get his picture back up for a while... glad you like him. He was 90lbs. and all skin and bones when we found him behind a fast food resturaunt about a year and a half ago. Now he's 136lbs. and the vet wants him on a diet. He's the best dog I've ever owned!!

Well, the B-2 has rails around it... I'm going to say its the stress-tester now at Wright-Patterson... and I know what you mean by slapping together a model. I feel angry at myself for building Monogram's F-4J (unpainted, yet!) in 15 minutes, on Christmas morning. Oh well...

Hi Adam, your p-47 is looking good, I have not done one in that scale mine are 2 b,s and d,s in 1/48 and I really liked building them ,my next one will be a b in natural aluminum. I want to depict a war-bond quota plane.So keep up the good work it only gets better. Someday I will have some pix posted I dont have a dig camera. ps if you ever make it to M.A.P.S. The B2 was photographed at the Air Force Museum at WPAFB in Dayton, OH in the Cold War hangar. I was there on dedication day (Dec 17th?) with my family.

Well it's really coming together... the gear is painted, and waiting to be glued on after painting. I dipped the canopy in future and allowed it to cure, I'll be trying to mask it tonight... painting will occur shortly there after. Thanks to everyone for your kind comments... I'll post some more pix as soon as I can.

Yep, I remember the funeral too. I wasn't there but I remember seeing pieces of it on TV. I can even remember when he used to be a Preacher. I remember one of the local stations (2, 6, or 8) did a thing on him in the late 70s (or early 80s) when he was still a preacher, and I thought he was kind of funny to watch then.

Wow, you're just up the street from us then. My wife, the kids, and I are in that Hobby Lobby quite a bit since we moved over here. It's kind of nice being more centrally located than we used to be.

I'm at 51st and Harvard, almost directly across the street from the Hobby Lobby. Check out Top Shelf as soon as you can, you won't be dissapointed.

I'll have to check those places out. Thanks for that info. I'll definitely be checking out Top Shelf because I have a really hard time finding some paints at the other stores I mentioned. The other stuff you mentioned about it makes it sound like a gold mine for plastic model building, so I'll be heading there pretty soon I'm sure.

I think Ted's Hobbies is (or used to be) over at Utica Square, or some where around there (can't fully remember). My older brother and I would sometimes go there but they were mostly train oriented than anything else from what I can remember. Most stores here seem to be mostly RC and train related more than anything else. I've heard the one in BA isn't all that great but that's just form what I've heard so I really can't say since I haven't been there myself, either.

Again, thanks for that info. Hey, whereabouts in T-town are you? I live in that neighborhood back behind Action Hobbies and Ford Audio, off of 51st near Memorial (Regency Park). Kind of weird living across the street form a massive cemetary, and more noise than I'm used to, but it's home now. My wife tells me I'll get used to it, but it's still a lot more noisy than I remember it being over here. Maybe it's just me.

There's a Hobby Town USA at 71st & Memorial, The Hussar (they are mostly reference books and soldier type figs, neat shop though) There's a pretty good one at 41st and Sheridan, and one at 56th or so and Lewis. I hear there's one in Broken Arrow, but I haven't been there.

Thanks everyone. Pixilater I wish I could say the primer was on... the flash just gave it that illusion... unfortunately, I haven't yet used my airbrush, that's the next hurdle. Hopefully it'll be a quarter the quality of the paint jobs you all do.

Frank, yup that's how it went... little strings of glue all over the place... finger prints all over the clear parts... those were the days...

No, it doesn't have anything to do with that movie although I can see why most people would think that. Yeah, I too liked that movie as a kid, for pretty much the same reasons as you.

It basically has to do with some old friends of mine that used to say things like "nothing's gonna keep me from..." this or that (asking a girl out they don't have a chance with, drinking the last beer, etc.). I would always ask them "What if I stopped you?". They would say something back like "Well, then you'd be nothing" or "the nothing". Pretty stupid but we all thought it was funny.

I remember those 4 1/2 hour projects, in days gone by, and as ironic as it may seem, now days it seems I must MAKE myself finish a project, as the seven partially built models in my work room demonstrate.

You won't be like that however, and will have some cool completion pics for us in a couple days, right? :-)
