Bocks SUV,

I've worked A-10's for 5 years, are you talking about the counter balance rod? or the whole deceleron?

On the Revell A-10's they are produced with the Decelerons opened my advise is to cut and trim them closed, the only time the Decelerons are opened is when the pilots are doing the self check prior to taxi, or when in flight. The only other time is when the aircraft's Decelerons are opened is in Phased Inspection or when there is maintenance work on the Deceleron System itself

I was too fast and started assuming I could throw a 1/48 kit together. But I cant tell from the instructions about which deceleron (lower flap) goes on which side. Should the small trailing edge that's tilted point up or down?  Seems like they would follow the contours of each wing and upper flaps, but it's such a weird plane that having it point down would help enhance the control features of the flap.  It's the Revell kit.  Thx,
