Show us your Hasegawa builds

Hi, I came across your amazing build, and am going to build one myself. I was wondering exactly what colors you used, as they are not all available as listed on the decal instructions. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 

Here's a 1/48 "Val" dive bomber I did last year. Great fun really. There's a big debate among Japanese aircraft fans about the real color of the early war Zero. The early war Val wore a color that was similar but more amber. Spent a couple of days mixing colors to find the right one: the greenish tinge is "fugitive" coming from the black and ocher in the mix. (It's more evident in the second pic: depending upon camera angle and lighting the plane appears almost a light green. When you get into grays, really odd things happen.) I didn't weather the plane much - I was thinking February 42 when the planes would have been well used (frantically so for three months plus intensive pre-Pearl training) but gave it three layers of tone and salt to evoke some salt water fading. The early war IJN planes were waxed and hence the gloss. Everything was painted except the numbers. BTW: this kit was done entirely with Golden Fluid Acrylics a brand that I've used a lot since.

Here's my 1/48 F-2A that I finished a few months ago:

Here is my Hasa 1/48 Spitfire Mk9E in South African Air Force 1950's colors.These Spits were not in service in this sceeme for more than a few years, so they were generally clean and not to faded. This one is fresh out of the paintshop.

A nice clean kit to build wing options for either the E or the C wing. Humbrol enamels SAAF AM decals.

I still have the Hasa 1/48 F-86f and the A-4 E/F 1/48 in the stash aswell as the 1/32 F6f Hellcat, so I recon I have enough Hasas to keep me busy LOL.

Owl...it is not an aggressor bird.  Its just a special camo job that the commander wanted.  There's an -E with a blue camo job that looks cool too.

Here's one of my latest.  Its the 1/48 F/A-18F with the VFA-122 Replenishment squadron markings out of Lemoore.  This particular Superhornet is called "Expert 101."

A lot of nice builds here, thought I would toss in a few of my Hasegawa builds-all 1/72 scale:

First an F-4G "Wild Weasle" or a "Geasle" as it has been called., but it does use some Testors/Italeri decals.

And an "F" also with a mixture of Testor/Italeri decals:

An FB-111A. Obviously loaded up with plenty of fuel for a very long mission!

Another one built awhile back.  This is the 1/72 Hasegawa N1K1 Prototype w/ contra-rotating props.  One of these days I'm going to covert either the Hasegawa or Tamiya 1/48 kit to a prototype.

Hasegawa 1/48 Ki-43-I Prototype

Built awhile back but I'm pretty happy with the result.  LOTS of decal setting solution needed to get the wing leading edge decals to lay flat.

Here's a 1/48 Hasegawa F/A-18C.  

I used GBU-12s from the Hasegawa weapons sets, Shull24 GBU-38s, AIM-9s from an Academy kit, scratch built intake/exhaust covers, AM decals, Eduard PE details and the Wolfpack folding wing set.

I often preach the gospel of real southern BBQ to the locals.

I used to have a T-shirt that read, "You're in TEXAS now, and we don't give a DAMN about how you used to do it back home"... :)

I've put these together in the past two years.  The P-47 in the Eighth Air Force GB.  The Corsair, just for fun. Both got Eduard interior PE and aftermarket decals.  The Thunderbolt got CMK control surfaces on the tail.

Whoaa Nice Kullervo!, Thats an A-9 though right? Not that it matters, you do really nice work! All these builds by everybody and fantastic, thanks for sharing!
