the darkside raises many good points. but if we went with concrete dates to begin and end newbies would miss oportunities to join, me for an example, i would have not had the opportunity to join in on the ph gb. granted something else would come up in the future but the interest may not be there. for some gb a finish date is in order (d-day etc) but i think by closing off some of these builds you may exclude and maybe alienate some of the newcomers to the forum. you would in effect tarnish this family's warm and excepting nature. as it stands now anyone who becomes a family member is allowed to take a shot at building in a gb, example even though the 109 build is older some recent newcomers have shown interest in building for it.
mind you these are only thoughts that poped in when i read the topic in the armor forum but this is a possibility. personally i believe gb would benifit from some type of end date just so those involved would finish the project at hand. i just think it better if the individual gb decides if an end date is proper.
just my
if the forum decides to go with concrete start and end dates i of course will follow the will of the descision. after all it is the build itself that is my interest and i wouldnt join a gb without a personal interest in the subject.
