Past a month I finish this model, berfore test some new airbrushes I decided to erase some green spots and paint them free hand.

Awesome work! Great job on the masking.

Whoa!! Nice paint work! My head aches just thinking about cutting out that masking!!!

Lots of work cutting out all that masking but the results0 wow that's beautiful!

Continuing with this kit, I cut the Rob Taurus vacuformed canopy, I tested the fit and realized it was not as bad as supposed, it is better than the the kit canopy, it does not have details like rivets and the possibility of leave it open as is what need.

I detalied up the gunsight whith the Eduard's photoetched pieces and some scratchbuilt.

I added the louvers inside the air intake at the left of the fuselage, ahead of  the cockpit.

I painted the entire airframe whith Humbrol 27001 flat aluminum, 27002 polished aluminum and Model Masters 1401 aluminum plate. The fabric control surfaces were painted with Tamiya XF-14 IJA grey, white, red and yellow were Tamiya acrilic paints.

I decided to make a masks as a guide for the camo pattern, so later repaint free hand the blotches of acrilic Tamiya XF-13 IJA green.

Looking forward to more updates Pablon. I have the Ki-100 on the bench now and its a gem of a kit as it shares alot of the same parts as the-61. Only shame is the shallow wheel wells under the wings.

I airbrushed the cockpit with Testors raw sienna to imitate the Kawasaki brown primer.  I try to soil not too much the inside, I was afraid all those details were lost in a variety and contrast of colors. I always try to look and compare with real aircraft and I see the real machine does not have dry brush effect, excesive chipping effects and so on...

I thik it is the merit of Eduard, this prepainted photoetched add a lot of details and make us save lots of time we can use for purchasing more kits and aftermarket...

That is a terrific looking cockpit, and I absolutely love the look of Japanese with those white homeland defence bands. I'm looking forward to seeing this one come together.

Nice work Pablo.  The seat and IP look great.  I've been eyeing this kit for quite some time so I'm curious to see how it builds up.
