Very nice models!  I like the overhead shot of the two together best.  Cool.Yes

Nice Thuds!  The NVAF would be shaking in their boots...or licking their chops...well...maybe...anyway, great "shading" wash on the details, makes them really pop as they say!

Gary - thanks for your kind comments.

cnq - thanks for your kind compliments. But these are not excellent, I'd give only 8.5 - 9.0 out of 10.

There are gaps between the canopy and the fuselage, and the line where they meet on top is uneven.

It's fitting problem that should have been corrected by sanding off the canopy. My regular plane builder

(Nipon) would have done a better job in fine-tuning every detail and come up with better result.

Geezer - thanks. After watching the movie, you should also listen to this song. The 105 was doing the

same thing as the Phantom in Vietnam:

Pawel - thanks for your kind words. I'm near critical with display space now.

I really love the paint jobs, and the yellow piping on the canopies. It's not the builder's fault, but the blue on the stars and bars decals look a little too light. I'm surprised the decal manufacturers got that wrong.

Beautiful work- one nitpick though. The F-105G never flew in NMF. It came into being long after the SEA camoflage had been adapted by the USAF on tactical aircraft. Same with the Standard ARM.

Stik,

From the "book" Thud, by Lou Drendel, F-105s began coming out of IRAN in 1965 painted in camouflage.

The silver Thud above is clearly a F-105G model as indicated in the same book as having the AN/ALQ-105 jamming pods mounted on the lower fuselage sides.  Do you or does anyone else know when the F models were converted to G models?  I didn't see that in the text.

The F-105G came about in the late 1960's, post Rolling Thunder, off the top of my head. I want to say, 1968/69. They were basicly an incorporation of lessons learned in the F-105F during Rolling Thunder.

Beautiful Thuds!!

I've been working my way up to the Cold War...but there's so many! =] I'm afraid I'll never get there.  I haven't really given much thought to trying a F-105 until just recently.  Now I think I'd say it's just a matter of when.  Great job here!
