Understood and no need to apologize!  I'm in my summer modeling hiatus, too.  It's just too nice out, to sit at the bench.  I'm pretty much only working on modeling projects now, when it rains.

As a fairly new "empty nester," I will tell you to enjoy each and every minute with your wife and kids first.  They will grow up and be out the door before you know it, and probably before your ready.  So, you made the right choice...  By the way, how did you get the hang of the daddy gig so quick?  it took me almost 20 years, and I'm still not sure I've got the bull by the horns  ;-)

No worries.  I've followed the same pattern for the last couple of years, spending blocks of time away on other pursuits.  I spent last weekend cleaning and reorganizing my bench, so also hope to get back at it soon.  I've got about a half dozen projects underway and want to to make the effort to get at least one of them done in the near future.

Good luck to you.

No apology needed bro...life happens.  Glad to have you back.  Congrats your new family addition.  I got one too, of the four legged K-9 variety.  Hey Buckeye, good to see you back too.  Shout out from Northeast Ohio.

Yup, get a bit done when you can and make sure you are enjoying the hobby, so, take you time.

Hey, poop happens.  I'm just finding myself able to get back into some modeling after an absence of some ten months.  Sometimes life just gets in the way.

I'm fairly new here but I'm sure everyone will say the same.  Nothing to worry about.  You committed your time to whats most important in your life and that's definitely the right thing to do.  When it comes down to it... a hobby is just for fun and when life happens the hobby is the first thing to put in the back seat for a bit.

Hello all, it has been since mid winter since I have been on. My original plans were shot down when The Misses got a legit full time job (thank the heavens one of us could) so I have been pulling full time Mr. Mom duty during the day, then doing my umpiring gig most evenings and almost every single weekend. Needless to say, I sadly haven't had the time get on here and enjoy this hobby. I guess you could sum it up by saying life happened..

Anyways, entering, the dead of summer, the umpiring job is starting to slow down, and I am finally starting to get a hang of this daddy thing, hopefully I will have more time to spend with you fellows. My bench has turned into half dust collector/half home office, so i am going to try to get that sorted out. I know I had made commitments to a number of group builds, and I apologize to each and every one if you guys I let down. My skills have obviously collected rust, so its my plan (once I get everything going again) is to start a new kit fron scratch, get back in my groove, and then once that is done, get to finishing the 5 halfway completed kits on my bench. I am glad to be back on here again, and look forward to hearing frim you guys. Again, I appologize for my long, unexplained absence.
