I got a couple, I'm more of a Monogram/Revell guy.

Very old - back in the 1990's

these are within the last two years or so.

I’ve only built 3 Tamiya kits, and they all happen to be the 1/48 Mustang.   Enjoy!

This was my first attempt at the kit and my first attempt at NMF.  Built in fictional markings with a True Details seat.

Here’s my second attempt at the kit.  Used some old Superscale decals, some 500 pounders from my spares box, and a True Details seat.

And the last of my Mustangs…for now.  Another True Details seat, an Ultracast tail, and some Aeromaster decals.

Cheers,

-O

 Nothing better than Tamiya!

Leftie: What plane and what scale is this?  I've been looking for a few like this in 1:48, but have been coming up short.  This looks amazing. =]

And a nice job all around.  So far it's a nice spread of aircraft.  =]

Wow, some really nice stuff showing up for sure!  I love the Russian bird (I've blanked on the designation) that cnq built!

Joe, what did you think about the P-51 B/C build?  I'm wanting to do the "Gruesome Twosome" at 1:48 for my wife, so I don't mind spending the money if it's worth it....  Raymond

Wow, there are some very nice builds here.

Despite having about 5 in the stash, I've just realised I've only built two.  I do have a number of armour builds too.

This one's about 5 years old. I feel i've improved since then.

I completed this one only a month or so ago.

Ray: I've got the link bookmarked from when I was referencing it for Mustang info.  He's also got a story about Bill Overstreet at the beginning you'll like.  I have it here for you to jump to.  This way you can dig through it at your leisure. =]  Joe's pretty thorough about what he likes and dislikes about a build.

Joe: That's a helluva lot of Tamiya kits!  I hadn't realized they have all be Tamiya until now I think. lol

It was great.  I can't recall any fit issues...typical 90's Tamiya.   I did use a Verlinden cockpit.  Here's my WIP for that particular build if you would care to check it out.

WOW!  Some great builds here!  But I think Josiah has a pretty cool set up with the Corsair and Zero!  Very cool!

I did this Do 335 not long ago for the Arrow GB. This is the Tamiya 1/48 heavy fighter version. I opened her up and used CMK and Quickboost resin engines and fuel tank. I also added a set of Eduard seat belts but the cockpit is otherwise OOB. I used solder wire for the engine plumbing.

Wow, beautiful work guys!!! I was looking though my photos and hate to say it but it seems most of my stuff seems to be Hasegawa instead of Tamiya or Monogram! Embarrassed

Anyway a few Tamiya kits here- P-47D

El Salvadorian F4U- great kit and one of the more inexpensive Tamiya models:
