This is Monogram's F-4J with the Steel Beach S conversion. I really love the Monogram kit. It's still a viable option after all these years.

Phantastic?!  LOL. Love it! =D

This is great Darren.  What are you saving these up or have you recently seen a flash of light in the night sky and now you no longer sleep?  =]

These are some I've finished up over the past couple months. I'm an elementary school teacher...summer break is a wonderful thing! I set up my camera/photo booth to shoot some pictures for an FSM article, so I figured I'd go ahead and take pictures of the recently completed models. Sorry to flood the forums! :-)

Psssh! Not even. =]  This is what I come to this page to see.  That's like being an American and getting pissed about someone waving Old Glory.  ....oh wait.  lol =P

But, no I hear ya.  My job allows for the same.  My summer opens up a good deal which lets me spend more time on whatever I can get into.  =]

Well I am not gonna be upset at seeing builds like this "flooding the forum". Just curious, but what is the Steel Beach conversion for this kit? What does it replace/change/correct/update?

The Monogram kit is an F-4J. The SB conversion provides the outboard slats, inboard slat mechanisms, corrected rear cockpit pieces, ECM antennas under the wings/intakes and the wingtips, belly reinforcement strap, trunnion plates on top of the wings, flame holders for the exhausts, and corrected wheels. They are small things that to the casual observer aren't very noticeable, but they change the J into an S.
