Excellent built. I love it.
That's a bad-*ss build man! It looks so cool.
I love the paint scheme too, why not? Who's to say it wouldn't have carried one just like it.
Gary
Stunning Trey. Diggin' the missles too. Thanks for sharing...
Joe
"Can you fly this plane and land it?...Surely you can't be serious....I am serious, and don't call me Shirley"
Now that is one sweet looking build. That's a really nice scheme you have come up with. I really like those missiles, I can see what you mean about where they may have come from.
And well done Bronto for coming up trumps on the canopy.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

No problem at all. Thanks for posting pictures of it completed.
Thanks Bronto was shooting for something off the beaten path with this one. I ca'nt say it enough, thanks again so much for the fast help with the canopy!
Looks good Trey, The camo colors are an interesting change from the normal.
Bish thanks,I'm geussing the missiles would've been something close to the Henschel HS-117 Schmetterling
Devil Dawg thank you kindly, yea geuss it is time for a new matt this one has seen a lot of kits for sure. After a preshade I started on the cammo using some tinted purple & blue matched off the GothaIV on the wingnut site followed by some random mottle and faint wellenmuster with some RLM 71/75and 76. The decals are a mix of kit and spares A HUGE thanks must go out to Bronto, without his help making the new canopy this build woul've been binned, much appreciated kind Sir ,I owe you big!

Mr. Trey, that's OUTSTANDING work on the Horten!! Love it! Judging from the condition of your cutting mat, it looks like you do/have done quite a bit of modeling.

Build one at a time? Hah! That'll be the day!!
Nice work TREY, good idea for the radar. It looks good on the Horten. I like the look of the missiles as well, what type are they. I am guessing one of the designs the Germans were working on.
Thanks Nathan good to be back in the building groove! Yes a very few Ju-88 G6 carried the Fug 240 very late in the war so figured it was a good lash up,glad you like it!
Nice work Trey. Good to see you back on here again building. Definitely support your radar theory. The Berlin radar was very similar and was used on late war '88s, so very plausible.
very very nice progress.
Bvallot,Gary,Joe and AdeB thanks appreciate the positive comments!
awesome looking kit. Looking forward to seeing it complete
Beautiful work on a cool plane. I always liked the 229. Thanks for sharing.
bvallot =] Can't wait to see more.

Me too! I've got this one and the single-seater in the stash and I know this thread is gonna come in handy someday. Keep the info coming Trey.
Thanks Bronto appreciate it,no pressure of course!
Its ok Trey, I'm used to it! I'll be able to mold it on Sunday for you. I didn't think you were that far along with it though!
Thanks Bish, yes indeed we did and I'm so grateful for Bronto's help ! I would be totally dead in the water without it! Was hesitant to mention it in the first post ,did'nt want to put him on the spot;)
Nice start Trey, looking forward to more. Have you been able to sort the canopy out with Bronto.
I finally got up the nerve to break this out and give it a go. Started in the usual sequence with the office
I scratched up some harness straps and added some p/e from the spares box The intake tubes seemed too long to me so I shortened them up a bit The nose cone was lacking locating pins making alignment of the already ill fit even more frustrating. I decided to add these tabs to help. They are just square stock ,after glueing in place I tapered the tops so they would'nt interfere with the fit. The office is pretty spartan but at least the fit is good After painting the starter engine cones white I masked them with drinking straws and painted the intakes I was able to manipulate the wings and nose cone so that 90% of the poor fit and gaps were on the bottom side. Then I used thick ca followed by some green Squadron putty to fill the gaps. After a lot of sanding and rescribing panel lines the gaps are delt with This is where things went south! While attaching the canopy I applied too much pressure and stress cracked the canopy,
