Navy bombs, such as on the Val, were a light grey with a green nose band.  Some were just all grey.  I don't know about FS numbers for I never use them.  Any light grey, such as neutral grey should be sufficient.  Here's a good reference.

Paint the propeller and hub Aluminum and the back side of the blades flat black for a Pearl Harbor Val...

Good luck,

Joe

Japanese bomb colours
Posted by MECHTECH on Friday, September 12, 2014 7:00 PM

I acquired a 1/48 scale Fujimi Aichi Type 99 Carrier Dive Bomber -VAL recently. The instructions are in Japanese. However I have managed to muddle through the build and have painted the aircraft. The problem I have is that there are no colours shown on the instruction sheet for the propeller and the armament used. They used Gunze paint numbers for most of the aircraft colours for those of you who were wondering how I managed to paint the plane. Anyone out there who inform me of the colours used for the propeller and the two types of bombs carried?
