Thanks VN750! Much obliged for that.

"All you mugs need to get busy building, and post pics!"
All models are superb!!
Greg Wow, those are some beautiful models, Gary. To ditto Don, nice photography too. Not sure what the 6th one down is, but for some reason it particularly caught my attention. Not sure how I missed this thread.

Thank you Greg! You are too kind sir (but hey, don't stop!, lol).
The sixth model is the McDonnell RF-101B Voodoo, done in a "what if" paint scheme. I just thought it would look good in all-black, and given its name, somehow apropos. I'm really glad you liked them!
Snibs Fantastic models, a lot of love there and thumbs up on the photography as well. Mick.

Hey, thanks so much Mick. I appreciate those kind comments mate! As said earlier, sometimes I get lucky with the pics, and that always makes my models look better. I think I'm just an average modeler at best but "sometimes even a blind hog finds an acorn". Best regards, Gary
Some stuff that might be interesting.

Tojo72 That's a great collection, I also stick to one scale per type because of my OCD

Thank you Tojo! I barely have room for all my completed 1/48 planes, with three stalled builds at the moment. It won't be long, once I start building again, before both my display cabinets are full. I wouldn't have room for 1/32 planes anyway, and 1/72 are just too small for my failing eyesight, lol.
Thanks Drew! Much appreciated my friend, I'm flattered! That spiral nose decal intimidated me a bit. I finally just jumped in and gave it a try. It went down really well even if it isn't perfectly spaced. I was afraid I'd muck it up if I didn't leave well enough alone.
Gary,
Your models look great! I especially like the F9F Panther.
I've got that same kit, but I haven't built it yet. Did you have any trouble with the node decal? If so, how did you handle it?
Regards,
-Drew
Build what you like; like what you build.
Aleksander Great collection and really awesome models - they look very "real" on these pictures. Congratulations!

Thanks Aleksander! You really made my day, I'm glad you like them and I hope to post Part Two soon. I hope they are as well received as these old birds were.
Devil Dawg From one Gary to another: Outstanding Air Force you have there! Great-lookin' photography and builds, buddy. Wish all mine looked that good good when I finish them. Hey....wait a minute......those are REAL planes, aren't they?? You been messing around with PhotoShop again? Heeheehee! Good stuff, Gary!

And from one Gary to another, thanks Dawg! Your comments mean a lot to me brother, and all kidding aside, you're a great modeler your own bad self. I get lucky with the pics sometimes...this thread really should motivate my lazy *ss to get it in gear and actually finish some planes! But, there are still models in the display that haven't made it to the airport; I counted another 8 or 9 Monogram birds not to mention several other brands that still need a good picture session out there. I guess a Monogram Air Force Part Two is in order one o' these days. Thanks Gary for all the kind words!

On The Bench: Tamiya 1/32nd Mitsubishi A6M5 Model 52 Zeke For Japanese Group Build
Build one at a time? Hah! That'll be the day!!
goldhammer On another look, closer this time, yep, mistook the 100 for a 105, my bad. Too much time working in F4's. Even with glasses going blind in my older age.

Hey man, that ain't a problem! Hell, I know exactly how you feel; I travel around with 3 bloody pair of glasses-readers, prescriptions for everything else and 'script shades! Dayum!
best regards, Gary
goldhammer Love the Thud and the Voodoo, from my era in the USAF. Very nice work

Thank you sir! But, are you referring to that "Hun"? I do have a 105 in the stash...just sitting there "taunting" me! I really appreciate your nice compliment and thanks for your service!!
F105nut711Good shootin Tex!
Thanks a lot! Glad you like those!
freem Gary I too have the 1/48 OCD issue as well as "Mad Monogram Disease". Very inspiring modeling and photography. I gotta echo what everyone else has said!

Ah,a fellow sufferer! Then you can empathize can't you? Thanks for the very kind compliments! I am so glad that my planes were well received and that my photos were too.

Hey G-J and splitter, thanks dudes! I try.
artworks2, man, I've been rocking since "Blue Suede Shoes"! You are right, this is a great group and great forum too!
Thanks for the very nice comments I've received!!
This forum rocks.....
Sweet builds. And the lighting on that Hun makes it absolutely perfect.
Any time I have to double-take a picture, I know it's done well. Excellent builds, and great photography!
On the bench: Tamyia Mosquito Mk. VI for the '44 group build. Yes, still.
On deck:
Thank you gentlemen! I hope to have more Monogram planes photographed in the near future. I have several more that have never been photographed at the airport or anywhere else for that matter. I have a lot of fun out there, and if I take 40-50 shots of each plane, I feel lucky to get 8 or 10 good ones.
Thanks for all your wonderful comments; you have all really made my day (heck, you've made my week!!) I'll never get a cap big enough for my ol' bald head now!
Holy smokes Tex! Great pics sir! Love the builds too, but the presentation is awesome!

Wow!

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.
