A-4 M SKYHAWK (VMA-331) 1/48 Hasegawa

Check your Bu. No. for that aircraft. IIR it is 158189. The actual aircraft was lost in June of 82 outside Yuma AZ and was not assigned to VMA 331 at the time. I met one of the VMA 331 pilots recently and he flew that specific aircraft from time to time. He helped me with something I was working on so I'm doing that very model for him as a surprise "thank you" gift. Your model is done very well and looks great.

Painting the red outlines is easy: first do the whole door red, mask the edges, then paint it white. Red should be gloss, while the first coat of white should be flat for its strong pigment. For the second coat of white use gloss paint. Remove masking tape and you'll have perfectly defined edges. For optimal results the whole operation should be done with the airbrush. For minor touch-ups use a 0.5 mm marker.

Beautiful build!  Love the weathering you did on the wing walkways.

Lucian, that's a great Skyhawk!  Just a beautiful scale model, very well done indeed.  Would you share your technique for painting the landing gear door edges red?  They look so neat and tidy!  Again, a superb build sir!

That's a nice looking build. Like mustang, I am mainly a WW2 aircraft guy, but I do like the look of the Skyhawk and that's a might find build of one.

I'm not much into jet aircraft but I AM into good modeling. This sir, is a fine representation of this aricraft. Thumbs up man.
