As you are all aware, I am a returing scale model aircraft builder/fan after a 40 year haitus. I recently have found out what PE "Photo Etching" was all about. Wow, what incredible detail and oh boy, such small pieces! Well like all things in any hobby, it's all about the right tools for the right job. I researched photo etch bending tools with my daughter via you tube. The most efficient and as well as the cool factor was a tool by Photographix called Photoflex. Yes, the cool factor would be a great explanation for the Photoflex. That is until I finally received this cool factor tool. While watching on You Tube the step by step procedure in assembling the Photoflex, the tabs literally fell off. This made my brand new unused Photoflex a stainless steel piece of rubbish.
I contacted the sellar of which whom would give me back my refund of approximately $35.00 and some change. As my father use to say; "You pay for what you get"! So I immediately and very diligently purchased the more traditional 4" photo etch bending tool; the type with the two screw down. Currently, I'm awaiting it's delivery. Once in my hands, I'll update forum members of this specialty tool.
