Does Anyone know anything about the Supermarine SeaFire 46 and 47 ?

   I think I do to . Now the dilema is this .The FR - 46 is just like a regular land based Spitfire .The FR - 47 is definitely a ship based aircraft .The only thing is the 47 has purpose built folded wings . I don't think I am going to build it that way though .

I grew up building kits that were good enough if they had two wings and a tail. I think you have something kind of special there.

  I wasn't looking to compare it to anything  . It just surprised me that it even existed . I don't have very many British planes period , and none of the Spitfires of any variety .

   Now , that said , the quality of the plane compared to other Airfix kits I have , did indeed surprise me .

Those are some of Airfix's best 1/48 kits. Just get a Vacuform canopy if you want it open, otherwise it sits too high on the rear spine. The kit prop blades are a bit mis-shaped and thick too, but that can be fixed with sanding or an aftermarket prop.
