Ju 87 Stuka GB round up.
Posted by Bish on Saturday, May 9, 2015 3:58 PM

I am a big fan of the Ju 87, and last year I decided to run a GB dedicated to this dive bomber, which I felt is often over looked when compared to the more glamorous fighter jock's.

The GB produced some great builds, and it was a personal joy for me to see such a collection. So I thought I would share them all with you.

Nathan T - Italeri 1/48th Ju 87 D-5

 lawdog114 - Hasegawa 1/48th Ju 87B-2

Mustang1989 - Hasegawa 1/48th Ju 87B-2

falconmod - Revell 1/48th Ju 87D

Eagle90 - Airfix 1/48th Ju 87B-2

Raven728 - Italeri 1/48th Ju 87B-2

tempestjohnny - Fujimi 1/72nd Ju 87G-1

silentbob33 - Monogram 1/48th Ju 87D

68GT - Fujimi 1/72nd Ju 87B/R

GAF - Hobby Craft 1/48th Ju 87G-1

mikeymize - Airfix 1/72nd Ju 87B

Rigidrider - Monogram 1/48th Ju 87B

Tom68 - Monogram 1/48th Ju 87D

Thunderbolt379 - Revell 1/48th Ju 87B

snapdragonxxx - Trumpeter 1/32nd Ju 87B-2

Rigidrider - Monogram 1/48th Ju 87D

Zvezda1980 - Italeri 1/48th Ju 87B-2

Plasticjunkie - Revell 1/48th Ju 87B-2

This next kit is one I had overlooked for my own collection. So it was a real pleasure to see it being bult and halfway through I saw the error of my ways.

Archangel Shooter - Airfix 1/24th Ju 87B-2

checkmateking02 - Revell 1/72nd Ju 87B

And finally my own contributions. Firstly i decided to do a version of the 87 not often seen, the A. This is the Special Hobby 72nd A-2.

And something a little smaller, the Eduard 144th G-2.

And hopefully i will have one more to the list soon as Greg is nearing the end of his build.

Thanks to all for making the effort to produce some great builds. It was a real pleasure to see so many Stuka's in one place.

And thanks all for looking.

Bish,

Nice round up for the GB!  Enjoyed it (at least the parts I remember).

One thing that strikes me about all the models shown here is how a standard paint color can vary so widely depending upon the modeller (and primer, coating, wash, lighting, etc.).   You would think this was "Richthofen's Flying Circus"!  Big Smile

Awesome round up Bish! The Stuka now has a special place in my heart, since this was the first GB I signed up for.  Thanks for hosting.

Those are some nice builds. I'm impressed with all of them. Thank you for sharing the gallery here - I don't know if that's usual, but I think it's a great idea.

This is really good inspiration for the Stuka I'm doing for the upcoming Battle of Britain GB.

Thanks again for sharing, and excellent work, all!

Thanks for the comments guys.

Joe, I will certainly be watch9ng out for it.

Brandon, it used to be quite common with the subject specific GB's, but like a few things seems to have fallen out of favour unfortunately. I will be watching out for that Stuka, will you also do a WiP thread for it.

Brandon, you can put me down on the watching list.

They are rather nice schemes Tojo, going to have to do one of those myself.
