P51D Oxygen tanks ?
Posted by Wirraway on Monday, June 1, 2015 5:37 AM
Hello all, I am building the old Bandai 1/24 P51D for the Mustang GB. Behind the fuel tank are 3 x tanks that I assume are for oxygen ? 3 Tanks seems a lot. As you can see from the pic, 2 are stacked in a rack, while the smaller one does look like an oxygen bottle. I'm not having a lot of luck finding reference pics. I would like to know what they are, and what colour(s) they should be. Much appreciated

They are oxygen tanks and were a yellow colour. Happy Jack's Go Buggy is one of the most accurate Mustang restorations. Photographs here, scroll down a little.
