Battle of Britain Mk I Hurricane 1/48 (Hasegawa model)
Posted by kullervo on Monday, August 3, 2015 3:39 PM

Hello folks,

First post since long time. My last model, finished few days ago. Nice kit, probably inferior compared to the Airfix new one, but still a good match to represent the real winner that saved free countries from the Luftwaffe during the terrible summer of 1940. DT°A was Stanford Tuck machine, the RAF 257th Squadron ace who scored 25 kills at the end of the Battle of Britain.

Thanks for looking Wink

You did a great job on that. I don't think anyone could tell if it wasn't the best kit on the market - it looks fantastic.

Wow...

Very nice job. I love the weathering detail. What is that you used for the oil streaks? Looks like a calligraphy pen.

Stunning.... The Hasegawa 'Cane is still an excellent kit. Your weathering is quite impressive and thanks for sharing...

Great job on the "Old-Mold" kit. The old Airfix's were not all that bad!!

But I do love the new stuff coming out because of time constraints it's great not having to fill seams and sand for long periods of time

Ditto

Just saw this, very impressive and I find those early black & white bottoms cool.
