What a great looking build! And you can now officially hang up a sign saying "Will work for beer".

Nice model! I love the A-10!
But I hear you on those ejection pin marks! I recently started Testors 1/48-scale F-104C, and the seat had an ejection pin mark not on the back of the seat where it could easily be hidden simply by gluing it to the cockpit, but the front, where it would be easily visible as I'm not going to use the pilot figure. I ended up building a quick cushion made of sheet styrene; it went quicker than working with sanding sticks.

Thanks for the kind remarks guys. :)

stikpusher Very nicely done indeed. A build for booze? Sounds like a fair trade to me

That is very well done. The polish on the canopy is outstanding.
Modeling is an excuse to buy books.
Your co-worker is now a proud owner of a beautifully built A-10. Very nicely done.

So a co-worker of mine commissioned me to build him an A-10 Warthog with markings from Spangdhalem Air base, Germany; a recent assignment of his. He liked the way my other A-10 came out, but I told him HIS would be much nicer since my modeling skills have greatly improved since 2011. He requested that it look slightly dirty and battle-worn from his days of working Hogs in Iraq.
1:48 scale A-10 Warthog kit from Revell
Upgrades include:
-AFV Club Iridescent film on the Heads Up Display glass
-SAC Metal landing gear
-True details correct ACES II ejection seat
-Eduard RBF tags
-Astra brand decals (SUCK!)
-Light scratch-building / addition of RWR antennae on the tail, canopy actuator, and wire for hydraulic lines in the nose landing gear well.
-Future-dipped canopy and windscreen, and a drop of future put in all the gauges to simulate glass.
I figure I have over 100 hours into the build. I'm glad to finally have it finished! I worked on it off and on over the last year and a half! What was supposed to be $100 for my time and labor, turned into trading the model for 2 cases of his amazingly sweet 9% home-brewed Belgian Trippel Ale. The wife said "great, now you're building models for alcohol? Yeah, THAT'S healthy!" LOL.
On to the pics. Enjoy. Did I mention Astra decals suck?
Dammit, I JUST noticed a damn ejector pin mark right in the middle of the crew ladder door!
