This is a little embarrassing for me since I'm really not much of a modeler but I thought I'd post some pictures of my completed kit of this delightful little aircraft.
As soon as I looked at some of the pictures I winced. There are gobs of CA, little sections that still need paint, some really poor alignment of certain parts that is due to my lack of modeling skills, holes that I'd drilled through the top wing (by mistake) that I just didn't know how to deal with, etc., etc.
Never the less, I'm going to have it keep my Grumman F3F-1 company on one of my bookshelves. The Nieuport looks like a really elegant little WWI fighter. Too bad I don't have the skills (yet) to do it justice. Maybe by the time I'm 85 .... .
I don't mind criticism ... I've dealt with my share over the years and it can be a very inspiring learning experience. This site is such an inspiration to me with all the remarkably talented model builders both in ships (where I usually hang out) and aircraft that any comments at all are very much appreciated.

Looks good in the pix :-)
I just started the 1/48 Eduard Ni 11.

It seems that if you didn't point out the issues, it looks like a very well built kit. Most importantly, what I learned from all forum members is that you have fun in this hobby of model kit builds. If you did, of which it seems you've accomplished, then your ultimate goal has been reached. Overall, a great job!

Don't be so hard on yourself. The overall impression is very nice. And remember, when you are 85 your vision will be poorer and therefore much kinder.

Toshi,
Your kit builds this year are truly the source of much of the impetus for my continuing to challenge myself with kits such as biplanes. Yours, and many others on the aircraft section of this site, have given me hope that I'll eventually do justice to some of my remaining aircraft kits in my stash.
And, yes, this hobby does give me lots of pleasure!
Mike - Methinks you're way too critical of your own work, the build looks just fine, good wire bracing and finish, very nicely done model. Hope to see more, thanks for the post and photos.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!
Patrick, MC, and PJ:
You guys are very kind. Please note I did not show any close ups - that's where the image breaks down.
However, I did try to do a few things I'd not had the courage to try before .. such as using turnbuckles between some of the rigging lines. That's where some more practice would help me I'm sure. It was a fun project. I think I'll attempt one of my Accurate Miniatures kits when next I start an aircraft build (Dauntlas and Avenger) or, perhaps, my Hobby Boss F4U.
For the next few months I'll be back in ships. Working on a Liberty Ship - modifying the S.S. John W. Brown to represent the S.S. Stephen Hopkins.
Thank you all for the words of encouragement.
Not much of a modeler? Uh... dude... that looks fantastic. I love the paint job - it looks like it's really wearing fabric wings. Very nice effects, sir.
