Good luck guys! I wish I could join you but I said I'd finish up my current GBs and not join anymore besides my own and then went ahead and signed on with Bish's 1946 GB and Wayne and Jibber's Dino build...

We've decided to add amphibious helos to the build as well. I think they will make a splendid addition.

I'm in with my Mirage Lublin XIII TER Hydro (Polish naval plane that shot up some Germans in Danzig at the start of the war).

I may also build an Ar-196A if I have the time for it.

I need to think about which one

OOOh I'd build the Anne.

Steve

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Mine is a later boxing, but I am not sure if its the 87 or 95 one. It was a gift from eagle90 last year. I have just got the Kora models trolley for it.

I would love to get into that group build. I have a couple of planes that need some attention.

Bish, PJ, awesome ! Some neat subjects there for sure. I've decided to go with the Loire 130M from Azur. Looks just different enough for me.

Cool beans.....BK

Ye, I should be in. I only have one option at the moment, the Italeri Do 24, and I have been itching to build it.

I did a quick search of my mancave closet and got these out. I may have a couple more on the top shelves in the garage. I know I have a 1/72 Jake that must be in the garage.

I'm leaning on the Albatros or one of the Japanese ones. Whistling

The question was asked if flying boats are Okay. Yes, if it has wings, flys and lands on water it's in. Boats, floats, conversions, whatever is good.

Float Plane/ Flying Boat GB feeler
Posted by BrandonK on Thursday, September 10, 2015 1:56 PM

I have been wanting to do this for a while now and I haven't seen too much attention paid to planes designed to land on water. So, Modelcrazy and myself would like to do a GB to start in January and run till Dec. 31 2016.

It would be for Military and Civilian planes that were made to land on water. ie Float planes.

Simple rules.

Any plane that was made or alterned to land on water. Float planes, flying boats, etc.

Civilian or military.

Any scale.

Any era.

OOB or as much add-ons as you want.

Crossovers allowed.

I would love to see a ton of float planes being built. It's a category we don't see too much, but I think it would be fun. Jump in with any comments; I'd love to hear them.

Thanks,

BK
