Geez, your A1 looks great Toshi.  You've built another cut above the rest.

I endeavor to take a little step up on each and every build I do. You however leap up 3 or 4 steps at a time on each sucessive build and this one is amazing.

Jay Jay, I remember following your build thinking how detailed as well as authentic it was.  I was shocked at your technique in scratch building.  I can't nor don't even know where to start with that.

Here you are praising my build, I am most honored!  Thank you so much for your kind words of wisdom and knowledge, also your support means so much to me.  Thank you sir!

Very, very nice Toshi! Another winner for your collection.I really like the weathering as it shows that bird has been through some tough missions and back. Nice to see an USAF Spad in grey since most you see done up are in SEA schemes.Once again congrats on an excellent job!Now treat yourself to a wonderful dinner out with the wife my friend!

Thanks roger_wilco!  It is one of my favorite builds.  I read a review regarding this same kit, one of the reviewers friends was a pilot for a A-1 in Vietnam.  He said everything look great except one thing, the friend told the reviewer that the Skyraider looked too clean.  LOL!  He said if it was too clean, pilots would refuse to take it up as it had no combat experience hence it's reliability was questionable.  The dirtier the better!  LOL!

I always overdo the weathering so I tried to dial it back as much as possible.  Using the Tamiya weathering kits really helped.  Yes, dinner out with the wife sounds like a plan!  Thank you my friend, as always, thanks for visiting my thread and giving me such positive support.

Hi Toshi, I regret that I've missed out on following your last few builds but, it is refreshing to see your gorgeous Skyraider. You have done an immensely impressive job all around. No doubt that you are showing some masterful skills. Do not sell yourself short by feeling that you still do not measure up to the folks here. That's poppycock. You are turning every bit as remarkable kits as anyone here. Good on you. Keep 'em coming.

Its very rare that you see a modeler like Toshi whose skills get developed so much in such a short span of time.  Incredible.  Keep going, my friend. Looking forward to your next build.

Hi, Toshi -

You amaze me, my man. You have made HUGE advancements with your building and finishing skills, in record time. You seem without intimidation or fear of complex kits, always ready to tackle the next one in line. Fearless I say.

Thanks for all of the posts and photos, you're a genuine asset to the FSM forums, always ready to share build info and help others to develope their skills. At the start other members helped you with advice and tips, now you are doing the same. What a guy.

Patrick

patrick206, thank you for your praise and such kind words.  I'm really just trying to keep up with you guys, you're the amazing one, not I.  I'm blown away by your support, I don't know what to say except "THANK YOU VERY MUCH" for everything!

GazzaS

Toshi,

It looks fabulous!  As modellers, we always try to walk the line between too much and too little.  I believe more important than either of those two issues is the issue of a model being visually interesting.  And you've nailed that.

Well done,

Gary
