Thats a beautiful build!  Was the sharkmouth carried over from the RAF livery, or was it painted on by the Brazilian AF?  P-40s appear to be sharkmouth magnets.

Thanks for your comment.

The shark mouth was applied in Brazil but the planes were delivered with RAF scheme painted.

Cheers

That looks awesome! Great job on that, and a nice scheme with cool history, too.

P-40E Braziian Air Force circa 1942 - completed model

This P-40E was the first received by FAB (Brazilian Air Force) as part of a Lend Lease Agreement. It was serial numbered FAB 01 (or just 01) and later FAB 4020. It is seen here in the RAF camouflage they arrived in late 1942. I've used the Academy kit in 1/72nd.

To see the W.I.P. for this model follow this LINK to W.I.P. P-40E FAB 01

FAB P-40E "01" from Grupo Monoposto-Monomotor (GMM) from Natal Air Base, Rio Grande do Norte (RN) Brazil circa 1943.
