Kinetic 1/32 Sabre (pic heavy)

Oh my !   Your f-86 is absolutely gorgeous.  I sure hope mine comes out near as well as yours.

I am working on a 1/48 Hsg. Mad Mig Marine piloted bt John Glen right now.  I have it primed with Alclad grey and used Alclad black base but I had to remove the black base because I must have got the "bad batch' black. It just would not dry after 3 days, but 91% alcohol took it right off leaving the primer in tact. So we start over with my tried and true Krylon gloss black for a base coat.  So much for a quick and simple build.

The Hsg, has a nicely detailed exterior and i just wanted to build a relatively simple kit because I wanted to work on the varigated NMF paint scheme. Some day I would like to tackle a 1/32 like yours. Again a beautiful job .

Thats nice! I remember assembling and painting this kit years ago for a club project. Did you experience fit problems too?

Yes, absolutely, fuselage and wing to fuselage, but experience and patience won the day.

Just a side note with Alclad.....I stopped using the black base years ago, drying issues, etc. I now shoot gloss black acrylic, followed by a coat of Future. The Alclad loves this base and it has worked great.

Great looking Sabre, Crockett!  Nice tip on the Alclad base.

That does look quite good. The cockpit is easier to see like that anyway.

Your attention to detail is magnificent, such a beautifully made aircraft.

Nice.  I wish the panel detail was less heavy on this kit but yours looks great.  I got an early pressing and had to get a replacement fuselage half due to a bad warp.
