1/48 USAAF Spitfire

Hello mates,

This is another newly completed model from my bench... It's Airfix brand new kit Mk.Vb. Kit has good decal alternatives and highly detailed parts. Sadly i made a tinner crash and destroyed all original kit decals. Then i checked my decal stash and found this markings belong to Capt. John Blythe. North Africa, February 1943. 4th FS, 52nd FG

I used P.E seat belts in cockpit but generally i am not happy from the result because i made some mistakes. I used azure blue very dark, it is not so correct color in my opinion. Also i couldn't find enough information aircraft and understand that this markings must be on Mk.Vc variant, not Vb

Anyway it is completed model and an experience, Thx for the looking

Nice work there, and I agree the blue looks a bit dark. Great work on the cockpit, and nice work on the finish. I just finished a book you might be interested in called "Yanks in the RAF". Nit the greatest book I've ever read, but does go through some if the challenges faced by the Americans in the Eagle Squadrons and elsewhere.

Hi John, I didn't know this book and it will be great referrence for me because i have more U.S. markings for Spitfires, I am going to check it and will add to my collection. Thx a lot
