wing_nut Just beautiful. Where did you get the TAI tail markings?

I made them myself Marc, but I've subsequently seen aftermarket decals for this scheme (Rising Sun decals?), and I think Hasegawa has even boxed the kit in these markings.

Wow, that looks awesome! The metal finish came out great!

Great build, Mike - The finish is perfectly done, and the VERY subtle panel shading differences are completely convincing. Interesting subject and markings. Thanks for the post and photos.

Real nice build here Mike! Very clean. I always strive for this kind of construction and craftsmenship, but feel as though I fall short somewhere along the way. Luckily, it's never too noticeable. =]
Real nice to see something like this. Thanks for sharing. And thanks for putting up the reference photo. It's not surprising, but I hadn't actually seen a captured Jack before. It does seem to belong in US colors, doesn't it. =]

Thanks guys, it's a fairly well documented scheme. I agree though that the Jack looks 'right' in USAF markings, almost like a P-47 derivative.
Very clean build Mike. It's always strange to me to see Axis aircraft with American markings.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

That is really cool. I like the different shaded panels. Nice too see something different.

Crisp, solid build.
You gotta admit, she looks nice in US markings.

Beautiful build and paint job. John
That's real nice. Great work. I have the Tamiya version on my bench right now. Awesome.
