Wow, very nice build Allan!

wing_nutLooks bigger. One of the marks of a great model. Nice start to the year.
I agree with Wing_nut, it looks like a larger scale. Great job, Allan!
I have to give kudos to all the 1/72 scale builds lately. They all have been so detailed they all look like larger scales!

I built my F-22 without the tanks but, then I added them. There is something about wings without tanks or ordinance doesn't sit well with my mind for some reason.
The F-22 has low observable and non-low observable missions.
Chasing the ultimate build.
Job well done Allen.....beautiful job on the paint scheme.

Gorgeous Raptor. And at 1:72...nicely done. I hear it's not different from painting and weathering 1:48 stuff, but I don't know if I believe that. =D lol.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks everyone! Very much appreciated.

The major parts are a breeze to put together. But Ive spent too many years building 3rd and 4th gen jets Id describe the build sequence as quite different. I think its the weapons bays. The main landing gear struts and their doors can be tricky. The canopy support strut is really flimsy; I replaced it with a stainless steel rod.
Painting a 5th gen aircraft is also tedious. Ive never used that mush masking tape on a modern jet.

That makes 2 of us. I was about to respond to ygmodeler, I like my jets "packed." I guess thats the reason why Ive never built a Thunderbird or Blue Angel.

With today's kit details, yes, its not much different. Except, of course, for the size. I do build the occasional 1/48 kits for select friends.
Thanks Darren!
Wow, that looks really good Allan.

Thank you gents, for the kind words.
Great job. I'm jealous, I built same one and my paint job wasn't as good as yours. Lenny
