Thank You.  One thing I forgot to share was a masking tip for the wheels.  I've tried using sticky tac and I can't seem to get a nice shape. Plus it's usually messy to clean up.  What I do is put a piece of tape on a metal plate and use a drill guide and a fine ballpoint pen.. I just go lightly in circles with the pen and eventually it will cut the circle.  I've tried using a knife but I seem to cut the edges of the drill guide.  As I'm scissors challenged I don't use that to cut out the circle.  Only bad thing is it will leave ink on the edges which can come off on the model so be sure to wipe it before placing.  I have tried an empty fine pen but without the ink the little ball doesn't seem to roll and it just gouges the tape.  Next up I'm shifting gears and taking on a 1:48 B-17.  Going from one of the smallest models to one of the largest...Think I need a bigger boat....or a bigger paint booth as the case may be

Well I finally finished it up.  Historically not accurate but after "Tony" this was a "perfect" model.  Fit was excellent.  I learned that microsol will take off glosscoat.  I never had that happen before.  I had to repaint a wing and then I learned that sticky notes have enough adhesive....even with de-tacking to pull off decals.  Hence the wrong decals on the side.  Oh well

Thanks for the link Mike. Really interesting stuff.  I'm using Gorilla superglue. The closest Hobby Lobby is about 2 hours away from me.  Toshi I would agree that New England will be there. After watching the first half of the Seahawk Panther game, I think Carolina will be there

 By your recomendation I bought the Hobby Lobby Extreeme Power CA. I hafta tell you that it's the best CA I've used so far. I didn't think there was any differance in CA brands until I used the Extreeme Power brand.  I used the medium and it really holds well.

Time will tell how long  it lasts in the container.  The Crazy Glue and the LHS brands I was using gelled up and was useless about haflway thru the container and this happened more than once.

I recommend thick type of CA.  It seems to work wonders for me.  Also, once it's attached I normally drop a very small amount of thin CA for extra measure.  The brand I utilize is from Hobby Lobby, it's called Extreme Power.  They also have a medium consistency CA of which I have not tried yet.

This start is fantastic and I look forward to this build.

Yes, I'm a rabid NFL fan.  Who do you have going to the SB?  I have the Arizona Cardinals versus the New England Patriots with the Patriots taking the Lombardi trophy home for the second consecutive time.  Belichek and Brady are near impossible to stop.  Plus they have a great team, you can't win any football game without the entire team involved and they seem to have this cohesion mastered.

M. Brindos...working on the cockpit and wheel well right now.  It's a sweet kit to work on.  It's not a very complicated plane so if I went great guns I probably could finish it pretty quickly......too much playoff football

Yes it does. You can find it in stranded and solid core which offers usage in a myriad of roles.

There some pretty nice pics if you do a google search. But you seem to have done a pretty nice job without them.

 I plan on getting and building a 1/18th kit of this engine later this year. I hope it turns out as nice as yours.

I think you did a super sweet job of it. You sacrificed a Diskman? lol I had a messed up set of USB headphones that I pulled some lovely lengths of colored wire out of. Old CAT5 cable works wonders as well.

So, where's the rest of the plane? lol

Nice work on that engine, i never realised there was a 48th of the 162.

The underlining of the text is down to you useing the IMG option to take the link from Photobucket rather than the Direct option. Using the IMG turns all the text that follows the pics into a link.

Nice work on wiring that engine! I think the text somehow ends up between the img tags and therefore gets turned into a link.

Not sure why it underlined my text
