"When it's snowing" I work on the bench.   When it stops, work my butt off getting rid of it.

I have more free time to model in the snow season. It takes me a lot less time to blow my driveway than to mow my lawn in summer, and do other yard activities.

Great use of your snow-bound time there! I did a little modeling but nothing that cool. 

I live in Salem, Oregon where here in the Willamette Valley the winters are usually mild and we don't get that much snow so .... I seek it out!

Although we might not have much snow here we do get a lot of rain which, in most normal years, would translate to snow in the Cascades. We've had very little snow in the mountains for a couple of years so I'm delighted that we're getting a more or less "normal" snow pack so far this year.

Yesterday I traveled about 85 miles from my place to Maxwell Sno-Park near Santiam Pass in the Cascades to do a short (about 4 miles) but pretty hike using snow shoes. Here's a picture from yesterday's snow shoeing.

LOL, at least it will dry faster than mine is......tick tock tick tock, and day now.

Our last two winters looked a lot like that....not this year.

When it snows, I go to my local airport and keep the runway and taxiways clear, in case Survival Flight needs to get in or out, in the middle of the night. There's no real problem if the chopper needs to go...but their Citation needs to have a clean runway. Then, when I get home at 5-6am...I get to dig out my place.

Cool (no pun intended) little kit. I bought the wife a snow shovel that fits her hands perfectly. I give her a hand and encouragement while she shovels (clap, clap, clap, way to go honey). Seriously, I set the models aside and am repairing/rebuilding my 10 year old snowblower. New drive gears, bearings, drive friction plate and drive wheel.

I live in Washington State. Snow is for the mountains. But what do we do when it rains? Same thing we do every other day. Avoid sunlight. That stuff can burn your eyes out!
