Ta152 C V7 1/48 Hobby Boss
Posted by TREYZX10R on Sunday, February 21, 2016 10:07 PM

The Wulf builds continue with the V7 prototype werk nummer 110 007 Ta 152C-O/R11 . Powered with a DB603 E . I finished it in RLM 81/83/76 which may or may not be correct my research has failed to find anything very solid on colors but this seems to be the most accepted combo. If anyone has anything more solid please share! The Hobby Boss kit went together nicely with no filler needed. I used model master enamels and top coated it with Testors Dullcote.

Pictured next to the H1 the difference in the wing and power plant really jumps out

cheers Trey

Wow what a bird. And what a difference between C and H.

Looks pretty good, but, I would really like to see this bird with better photography. The differences to the "H" are more dramatic than I thought. I wasn't aware that the prototype had cowl MG's, or that the supercharger intake was on the left side of the fuselage.

I am curious though, the C kit does not have the landing gear indicators on the top of the wing. Maybe this is correct and these features were only for the H? (see below)

Anyway, congrats on the build, and, i'm gonna have to dis you on the photography. It really doesn't do you any justice on such a great build.

Bish ,Mike thanks!

Crockett, the Ta152 C  intake is on the port side due to it having the DB603 versus the H with a Junkers Jumo 213 with the starboard intake. The gear down indicators can be seen in pictures on both aircraft but the location is more inboard than what is on the kit,I just left them off. Also the H1 upper cowl shape is actually incorrect on both our kits ,as is the blend area on the top of the fuse in front of the vertical fin. Yours looks really sharp. As for the quality of the photos I posted what you see is what you get, I do'nt claim any expertise in that field and have not the time or desire to pursue such endeavours . Happy building
