Photo etch cockpit

I use micro glaze for instrument glass.I put a little glob on the end of a toothpick and stick it into the holes on panel and it leaves a film that dries clear.I saw it in FSM in tips and tecniques.works great.i don't alter PE belts.

I spray mine with flat, because otherwise they seem unnatural.

As for brass PE, I spray it on the fret with a good primer.

I used to glue them all with super glue, but I started using Micro Kristal Klear for that, and my life has gotten way easier when it comes to PE.

If there pre painted .I'll spray a clear flat coat to provide a barrier for weathering or washes or dry brushing . And for those non painted PE.PARTS. .I wash then treat the brass with vinager ...wash again. This echiss the part so paint sticks better .

I typically will just brush on a flat coat...but I do mainly 1/72 and would probably spray it on 1/32. Then go back and add the "lenses" (I use Testors clear glue though). Warning if you do brush....don't dilly dally with it...it will eat the paint on the PE if you spend too much time with it.

Wear-n-tear would be done along with the rest of the pit.
