I can't say I've ever seen a metal widow. I like it. Thanks for sharing.

WOW!  What a fantastic ending for your P-61!  It is a very unique build, the finishing touch just elevates your build.

Getting the top turret together. As is the norm for this kit,I had to carve out the round opening in the fuselage to allow it to fit flush.

I think it needs red wing tips.

I build 1/48 scale WW2 fighters.

Have fun.

I really like the polished NMF look.

A friend just gave me an orginal issue of this kit. 1974 still has the Shep Paine diorama booklet in it. Has been sitting in his garage for 35 years

It is not perfdct but it is acceptable.Apart from the canopy issue it has been a build one would expect from z 70s era kit.

Ugh I still have nightmares about that canopy.  You've done a first rate job on it.  This was one of the first planes I had built so my solution was far less elegant.....i just built up layer after layer of elmers....looks like that tooSmile

I could have taken the easy route and just paint it black or olive with the invasion stripes but I wanted to try the Alclad on an entire aircraft,I must say i am very impressed and if I ever do a 29 or 36 I will use it again!

Wow, I've never seen a P-61 in anything other than black or brown. Very interesting to see where you take this.
