I've occasionally had luck when doing a search for "1/48 resin figures", and also don't forget to scope out the railroad aisle. Sometimes you can find an O scale set from Preiser or similar that will work. The thing about Preiser is I have yet to see the detail in their products you can find in an injection molded, and especially a resin, figure. So, YMMV.

Hope this helps.

FWIW, the one time I flew a plane, the pilot told me that even though it's a yoke, I was to keep my left hand on my thigh and off the controls, and just fly with the right hand. He said it was to be better with fine controls, as both hands on the yoke tends to make you jerky (I'm sure it's just one opinion and many fly with both). But that's how I flew it, and that's how he flew it, so it's not necessarily inaccurate to use a fighter pilot arm.

For trying to get some in modern civvie attire, and with bothhands on the control yoke I don't think you will find anythng that will fill that bill exactly. I know the 1/48 Acvademy/Miniycraft MD-500 kits have two sets of pilots, one in military type gear and one in more civil looking flight geat with ball caps and headsets that might work. But not the best quality sculpting and the hands & arms are not set up for bomber control yokes. You could pirate some WWII pilot figures out of other Revellogram 1/48 aircraft such as the B-24, B-25, B-26 for some seated pilot figures and perhaps do some conversions such as head swaps, reposition arms, etc.

I am building a Monogram B-29 with my 10 year son to hang in his bedroom. He wants to do it has Fifi the only flyable B-29 around. My problem is I don't have any pilots. The only pilots I have in the parts box are fighter pilots. They need to have both hands on the control yoke. Also, becuase we are not modeling World War 2 they can be modern civilian clothed. I just can't seem to find any on the basic searches I have done, any suggestions?
