This website has the most detailed photos of the P-51 B through D that I have ever seen, especially the cockpit.. You may need to copy the link into your browser to make it work.

These are two additional great web site for a P-51D. Note the painted wings and unpainted fuselage. I am currently building such a Mustang using Bare Metal Foil for the fuselage.
