Johnny thanks for bringing that to my attention. I hadn't actually paid any mind as to how  it appears on a web page at all. None of the links are meant to work. They are only to show what's being currently worked on and what is on deck. As of now, I have two in the hole right, but I'm not doing WIPs for them this time around so there is no link to show. They are on the Mustang GB right now however. The Dauntless is virtually complete. I have only to do some very minor touch ups and to scratch out another more accurate bomb that would have been in use during the Battle of Coral Sea...so I've left it in my cue for now. Perhaps I'll create a link to it for the meanwhile. Again, thanks. I'll try to adjust how this actually works and see if I can remove the hyperlink.

Well, Stik if you can part with them, then I'd be happy to have 'em. =] I haven't quite gotten to the point where I have a collection waitng to be used, but I'm slowly getting there. lol I'll send you the details in a PM.

Bvallot,

You may know this, but none of your "on the bench" links work. When I click on a link the response says that the pictures are private and I do not have permission to view them.

Your comments and questions are always welcome.

Shomo was flying a F-6D Mustang on his MOH sortie. The markings on the Aeromaster sheet are for that aircraft

I plan on using the "Jumping Jacques" markings on one of my builds, but not Shomos. I will gladly send them to you if you like. I have enough Mustang decals in my inventory already...

i have decals from an Italeri boxing of P-51 Pacific aces that include  6 Chioces that includes Shomos bird.in 1/48 they look like pretty good decals,Iam not doing Shomos bird but LT.COL William Dunhams Mrs.Bonnie if you want them?I still need the national insigs.

Sorry I'm not savy enough to put both posts together on the same reply...I hadn't even realized that Italeri made a mustang! I just looked it up and of course it's the pretty one they've got. =] Maybe I'm being too particular. I think I'm going to try to hold out just a bit longer. I do appreciate the shout. The insignias wouldn't be necessary...I mostly would just need the numbers. It would save me an awful lot of time masking everything just right. There's some things I'm just not comfortable painting on just yet. =D

I have a little time before I throw some paint down, so I'll wait it out for now. I am specifically looking for those Cartograf decals from Kagero, but they're just so damned hard to find. I should have gotten them last year when I had the chance. Isn't that always how it is?

What scale are you looking for the markings? I have an Aeromaster sheet with Shomo's markings that I will not be using in 1/48. I presume you're talking about his Snooks/Flying Undertaker mount.

Actually, I'm looking to build the bird he shot those 7 planes down in. Partly too cause I don't want to cover up the NMF as much. The Flying undertaker has the pretty markings and it was a bit of a toss up as to which one I'd do...but I settled on the first one. I'm thinking how pretty those stripes are and now I might be having second thoughts. I'm mostly concerned with having the numbers and serial for the back of the plane. I can paint everything else on. But yes, it is in 1:48.

Kagero's Pacific Mustangs...Shomo??
Posted by bvallot on Friday, June 24, 2016 8:43 PM

Just throwing it out there for my fellow Finescale builders...I'm looking for the Kagero Decals Red Series Pacific Mustang pt 1 for Shomo's markings. The ONLY place I've been able to locate it was on a French site and with the overseas tariffs they placed on it the costs went up about $40. So that's not happening. I'm reaching it out to all of you here to see if someone out there may have it and is willing to part with it for whatever fee you feel is fair. It can even include the posting. =]
