1/48 Hasegawa Miss America - complete
Posted by goldhammer on Monday, July 4, 2016 5:36 PM

Here are a couple of pics of Miss America that I did for the Mustang GB. She managed to wiggle into her dress, jewelry, and shoes just in time for the country's birthday party. First model completed in over 40 years.  Thanks to the work done and shown by the members here on the forum for driving me to better on what I build.  Click on a pic to go to the gallery in PB for the full build.  OOB, MM acrylics. The red, white and blue is paint, the stars and logos are kit decals.  Critique welcome.

Goldhammer, Congrats on an outstanding comeback after a long time away.  She looks spiffy, and what a way to honor the birthday of our country.

Awesome build.  I was just reading about Howie Keefe the other day and his start in aviation by joing the CPTP in WWII.

That is absolutely beautiful!  I really like how you did the paint job, it's impressive.

Thank you, gentlemen.  Appreciate the thoughts.   I am sending it to Modelcrazy as he has a pic of his daughter sitting on the wing of the aircraft from back when.  She has seen the pics and he said her jaw fell when told it was coming.

A fine gesture to send it to MC's daughter and a beautiful job you've done as well.

That's a patriotic P-51. Excellent job with the A/B, I'll bet that was fun to mask :)
