Ah, that's a nice one Darren, More more, we're still not satisfied!

And here's another shot with wings out. The models wing linking system was kinda clever and works well. As I remember it took a lot of patience and planning to assemble the fuselage and wing linking system. One of those scary glue together moments but that's what we modelers do I guess. Smile

Hey Thanks everyone! I notice that the word is clean. I do take the Tomcat to the car wash weekly and towel it down carefully. Max's museum is spotless. Kidding of course, thanks again Gang, Big Smile

As the others have said, that is one super clean build, Max. Impressively clean. Surprise

Ah, my all-time favorite kit! You've done a wonderful job on it. I still need to do that paint scheme. I've built a few of them over the years. I think I topped 75 with the last one I did. :-)

Oh wow, very sharp clean build there!

I built that kit, same decals and everything back in the late '80s I think??? Well, she didn't turn out anything like yours, since the plastic was already grey I didn't paint the upper surfaces and managed to spill the white paint I used on the underside everywhere... Embarrassed

Even tough this is an older mold, it actually builds into a very nice model without denting your wallet. I have built many of these as comissions as As and the later updated Ds with the included added parts. The pit detail is really good and yes there are a few fitting problems here and there but they are easily corrected.

You can actually tweek the wing gear mechanism so the wings sweep 75 degrees and overlap the horizontal stabilizers to save deck space while parked aboard the carriers.

You did a great job and a very clean build on this old gal.

Not a bad model for an inexpensive Revell. Some fit issues and wrangling to get it all together with wings working. Excellent decals, even I got them on. Nothing special on my part but I thought it turned out well as a comparative 1/48 display model. It's very visual and the wings are fun to play with too.Smile  Max

Hey Gang, I was on a photo search today and ran across this Tomcat I built a few years ago. I'll try to get some underside pictures and report soon. I actually have to work today! Later
