I found the little guy and a P-47 in this scale at Hobby Lobby. They look like tiny little toy boxes at the end of the isle lol. But you can take them seriously.
You'd be surprised. I added the vents to the tail section because it only had the spaces but not the vent flaps and I opened up the intake in the nose. All of the gear doors were sanded down because they were overly thick and I added a bit of card stock to the wheel wells and detailed that with some sprue bits.
I added the instrument cowl and the gun sight, seat, and battery box to the pit. It was left completely blank. I couldn't have that, now could I?
The spinner was a tough one to detail. I had to modify the entire hub with card stock to get it mostly correct. It turned out looking good, so I'm not worried about it lol.
It was a fun build, Toshi, but I did have troubles seeing what I was working with half of the time lol. My eyes are not as good as they used to be anymore.
The kit came with morkings for three aircraft. The one you see above, wich is the most complicated, an Austrailian in silver, and a Canadian also in silver. I was very nearly about to choose the Canadian markings, but decided to try this old classic instead. ;)
I don't know if you'd like this scale, but it sure was a blast!
