I started this kit with the engine using alclad dull and polished aluminum. then acrylic washes

I will be following this build.  I really want to build an F.1, and am wondering which kit to choose.

 

 
For the F.1 definitely Tamiya, Don.  I've built the F.1 and F.3 and they are great kits.  I have the Classic Airframes NF11/13 and it will be a lot more work.

the cockpit is soo sparse. I will add the pilot with the outer part of cockpit fuselage there is not much to see.

Isn't there a Meteor flying today that still has its original Whittle engines?

Just an FYI: At Oshkosh in July, the theme is early British jets. Meteors, Vampires, etc. will be on hand for the event.

Nice looking model!  

I building this as well but I've run into a problem, the decals are literally falling apart as I try to put them on.  I've managed to get the rondels and the identification numbers on but all the stencils are falling apart.  Perhaps the decals are old?  

Anyone know where I can get a replacement set of decals?  I've been searching the internet and ebay without luck...
