Paints galore!  That's just half, there is a whole other section.

These are just the area for ships and aircraft model kits!

Today was family day for me.  I had to go to help with my recovery.  You see, lights, sounds, and people will tend to confuse me making me want to hide into a quiet room.  But I persevered and really enjoyed the family time.  Before our gathering, Mrs. Toshi took me to Hobby Town USA!  Yah!  Here's a photo of our excursion!

There were other British bands that were displayed.  So many to take pics from, my phone died!  LOL!

My favorite all time favorite British rock band is Led Zeppelin!

Almost looks ready for action tehre Toshi, she is looking good.

Thank you Bish and as always thank you for your support and constantly reading and replying on my builds.  I so appreciate it!  Did you check out my trip to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame trip with Mrs. Toshi to downtown Cleveland?  The Stones and Beatles items were on display, I thought that would be cool for you since they are the predecessors of British Rock!

Toshi

Ye, some great pics there. I'm not really a beatles fan myself, much prefer the Stones if i had to chose. But some great history at that place.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Are you going to build a Luke AFB-based plane? The last airshow or two that they've had at Luke, they had an F-35 on display.

Now that I've cleaned up my attempt at hand painting the outlines of the Lightning II fueselage, I'll be utilizing the markings from the:

F-35A AF-21 10-5009, 422 Test and Evaluation Squadron

53rd. Wing, Nellis AFB 2012

Thank you so much for your support and read and inquiries in this build(s). I so enjoy our conversation(s).

As you can see, I chose to pose the F-35A fully loaded with all available munitions the Academy kit had to offer.  It might not have been a correct move but it really looks cool in my opinion.  Here are the results below.  Now to clean it up and apply the decals!

Tanker - Builder

Hey Toshi

I do like the Toshi Show . Now what happened to all the pictures ? And , I appreciate the visit from the Museum . Was the a Les Paul there ? I gotta have more of your builds , sir ! !      T.B.

I'm glad you like the "Toshi show"!  As for the photos, you should be able to view them as I can see them from Mrs. Toshi's log in's to FSM Forums.  Try reloading your page.  If you still have problems, LMK.  Maybe we can work on it together with the help of a FSM Forum advisor.

As for the Les Paul?  Yes, there were original first edition guitars that he personally made from 1943 and on.  A whole section was dedicated just to Les Paul.  My phone died hence I could not take anymore pics.Sad  Oh well, next time!  Thank you for the support you've given me.  I so appreciate it, especially our conversations.  They mean so much to me!

Now thats armed to the teeth!

I showed my daughter your guitar photos.  My daughter's a budding rock artist and she was wowed by the pics.

Yes sir!  I liked this kit as it allows you to pick and choose which munitions the builder would like to choose and add to the F-35.  I will be adding all of the available munitions to my build.

I'm glad she really was "Wowed" by the photos I took.  Tell her I said to practice everyday and never give up.  Good luck to her!  You see, I was told I would never be a jazz musician.  So I practiced hard everyday.  A few years later in England I smiled at the audience while on stage playing for the Live Aid concert.  So dreams do come true!

I'm at the stage of adding the weapons on the F-35.  I'm going to use everything and load up the F-35.  This should be fun!

Hi Toshi! It's been awhile since I've been in the forum or posted any replies. Your F-35 is looking very good! I have the older (but less detailed) Italeri kit. The Academy kit looks much nicer indeed.

Hello roger_wilco!  I hope all is well, I did miss you for a while.  Have you built the Italeri F-35 yet?  Or is it still in the box?  I'd love to see a WIP on that kit from you.  Yes, the Academy kit has some really great details but can be a challenge due to it's size 1/72.

Thank you for returning back and the read and reply!

Mementos from the legends of rock

Yes they are!  My only disappointment was not to be able to see a diplay of my favorite all time rock band, Led Zepplin.  My daughter said they change their displays all the time.  I can understand that as there's just not enough room to display everything.  Thanks for the visit.

On Wednesday the 24th, it was Mrs. Toshi's B-day.  So I took her out to lunch at our favorite Chinese restaurant in downtown china town and surprised her to our next destination; "The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame"!  Here are some photos of our excursions.

Toshi

These are some of the guitars that Jimi Hendrix used.  This is so cool, in my humble opinion, Jimi Hendrix is the best rock guitarist to ever live.

JOE RIX

Nice work on the F-35 Toshi.  Heck, I'm simply impressed (and proud) that you are building in 1/72 scale. Good on ya! Your doing a fine job there as I'm sure the scale is challenging.

Thank you my friend!  I started with a Academy 1/72 Mustang and Mrs. Toshi loved it.  We then went and purchased a Academy Corsair and Hellcat both also in 1/72.  It's very challenging for me to build in such a scale as you so correctly stated but it's fun at the same time!  Thank you JOE RIX for your support and read and replies, this means so much to me and I so enjoy our conversations.

Toshi,

The 3 things I have on my bench?  Haha. Funny you should ask.

On my desk:

1.1/700 Reefer (cargo vessel) scratchbuilt that I began in the mid 90s but never got to finish (I dont know why).

2. 1/72 Ace LAV-25 Piranha

3. 1/72 Ace LAV-25R

These things are on my desk now since weeks ago as I was wrapping up on the MB-339 Veltro I began work on my 1/72 Matchbox Dornier Skyservant.  This is funny.  I was considering ordering the (now) Revell Skyservant cause I think its a cool plane to build, but as I was shifting around boxes in my stash discovered I actually had the kit.

So i spent about a week scribing lines, rivet marks and such other details onto the fuselage, only to discover later that my kit is missing a windscreen (of all things) and both props.  Ive written Revell Germany and thankfully they responded favorably. May take 3 weeks to handle according to them, and since Im on the other side of the world, I was thinking, maybe 6.

So I wont let myself have an empty bench (or else modeler's block) so I scrounged about for something to build.  I initially planned to build a ferry kit I got but stopped since my research showed me the ferry used vertical bar railings rather than the usual horizontal stuff PE makers use (See Ship Section).  So I ran across the reefer from the mid-90s and told myself, about time to make this.

So while working on that I realize I had left out two Ace LAV kits that I had removed from the stash shelves.  I looked inside, decided they were too hard and too impractical to improve/build into a nice kit, but some other boxes had occupied the space they were previously sitting on.  So now I cant put them back.  So, yeah, Ill just build them, whatever the outcome.

I couldve just told you the three kits, I know.  Sorry. LOL!

allan, LOL!  That's a great reiteration of your three kit builds on your bench.  I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart as I so cherish our conversations.  It keeps me in touch and you motivate me as well as other forum members that read and reply on my threads.  This is such a great community.  The world could learn so much from FSM Forum members.

With that said, it sounds like you've got your hands full.  It also sounds like you have a very large stash to pick and choose from.  I wish I had such a large playground to play in.  LOL!

Toshi,

That F-35 of yours is starting to look reeeeaal good. Im getting an urge to start mine.  Right after I finish those 3 items on my bench.

I was quite impressed with the details of the Academy kit, although I think some are saying the surface detailing on those stealth panels are exaggerated.  I think theyre fine.

The multi-color format reminded me of Matchbox kits.

I have this exact same kit.  Was supposed to begin work on it this year, but put it off for later (beginning to sound like the real F-35, eh? lol).

Depends. How over budget are you?Propeller

A little bit.  I was promised the kit would show the cutting edge in model aircraft kit technology, that it would address all my fighter, strike and close air support model cravings, and most importantly, that prices would come down eventually.   Zip it!

Seriously, I like the F-35. I see myself buying and building more than one.

Thank you allan!  I so appreciate your support in my projects.  I am having a hard time detailing this 1/72 kit.  The parts are so small and my eyes are not able to see so well.  Just getting old as Mrs. Toshi reminds me. LOL!

Thank you for your report back in regards to the quality of this kit.  Your insight is very refreshing!
