Very nice!

My brother is a WSO(back seat) on those, and was with 225 for a few years. He was part of them after they got a new CO, who changed the markings, away from the viking.

Here's a couple pics he sent me...

I'm amazed that anyone can build a/c at this scale and do such a good job! As I've commented several times before in various 1/72 threads - 1/48 is as small as I feel I can work. My hat's off to you guys who work in 1/144 and 1/72.

Very nice job on your Hornet. I sold off most of my 1/144th scale kits last year (mainly fighters) but will still be building the larger,multi-engine types. Your build inspires me to pick a few fighters up again in this scale!

Thank you, my best friend keeps telling me the more I try to show him the details I put into a 1/144 model, the more I need to pay for his new glasses. As for the 1/144 line, I agree with you on that, there are a number of aircraft and markings that I can list down that would be nice to see in 1/144.

Wow, that's a great looking build Enzo Yes Especially hand painted. Very sweet, and I love the weathering effects!

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Great looking build!  I'm mainly a 1/48 guy but I've built a few of those 1/144 jets to take a break from the "usual".  You really need to have the eyes of a jeweler to do those small kits and yours turned out looking real good.  I'd love to see more 1/144 planes and decals being offered.

Finished this neat little kit three weeks ago. I added some very minor modifications (I installed a pair of VERs sourced from a 1/144 DML Super Hornet and the GBU-12s from the same kit).

Hand-brushed with Vallejo Model Color.
