Awesome job on one of my favorite planes of WW2!!!!

Wow, how did I miss this? Great job on her Max, love the camo - always thought this was a great looking scheme and you nailed it. 

Nice museum piece you got there max. Nice job. I love me some WWII aircraft. I have been away for 10 years now so the first step I gotta take is building myself a workbench. I got the place cleared out, got my models and equipment dug out of the shed and the rat poo knocked off of it, now I gotta build the workbench and get set up. Seeing all of these nice looking models on here gets me inspired to get going. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful work Max. You've got to love the paint schemes that the 56th used on their P-47's. You have done a sweet job on your camo. No doubt that the Tamiya 1/48 P-47 series is among the best detailed and engineered kits out there. I love 'em. Your photos are of top rate quality and certainly reflect your camera skills. 

Thanks again Guys. A bit of history on the models I've been posting. I'm 74 years old and I got started at a young age and the desire faded when high school and girls came along. Later in life and being an outdoor sort of person, I begin to build a model in the worst of the winter or in Kansas the worst of the summer to entertain me. Everything I've shown usually has been a once a year event in most cases. I've had no interaction with other modelers until the last few years. I was still doing it my way with no input or interaction with other modelers. This Forum has been a good experience in that I can see the great work everyone else is doing, show my results whether good or bad to other modelers, learn some new things, and the social aspect is cool too! Also being an airplane nut and photographer, it's been fun posting pictures of models and real aircraft and seeing other's work. All good!

Just wanted to tell you where I'm coming from and how I appreciate everone's input!

Very ,very nice build especially the busy paint job.  Takes me forever to this kind of stuff.

I like that paint job too.  I still have some practice to do with painting.

Really interesting paint job. Your build is very, very nice. Makes me want to get my Tamiya 1/48 "M" out of the closet - alas, too many other kits ahead of it.

I really don't care at all what angle you shoot the P-47 in.  The paint scheme is just fantastic!  You did a phenomenal job on this build!  Thank you for sharing your builds with us.

OK, this is really the last one. I'm trying several different angles to make the model look like we see them on the ground. I think the lower angle on this one and the one above are at least moving that way.

That is one great looking scheme and different from the usual od or nmf. Refreshing to see a clean build.
