Wow, that's neat!  I would love to see your museum.  You do some very fine work!  The B52 is pretty big.  I opted to get the 1/144 due to space restrictions.  Biggest one I have is the 1/48 C-130, with it's 33" wing span.Surprise

Hey Mississippivol, yes that is a Hasegawa B-47E hanging in the picture. If you missed it there was a post on it about 5 pages back.

Thanks Patrick!

And John, my B-36 was right behind my head as I shot the B-52. All the biggies are on the ceiling!

Very cool sir.  Not often you get to see the exact plane the model is based on.  That is a great story.  I built that kit years ago and hung it from my ceiling also.  It was pretty impressive next to the B-36.

Very nicely done, Max. It looks right at home in your museum, nice tribute to an old war horse like the -52 was/is. Thanks for the post and photos, interesting story about Monogram visiting for the measurements.

Very cool! Is that a Hasegawa B-47 flying beside it?

The Real 1/1 Monogram B-52D!

A couple of years ago my wife and I were visiting Barksdale AFB in Bossier City La. which has a nice outdoor display museum. I told my wife that the B-52D on display looked exactly like the Monogram 1/72 B-52D in my office. She agreed. Finally I noticed that there was a small sign in front of the beast telling about Monogram coming to measure this very aircraft for their upcoming model. This was it!

Here's my example hanging in the stratosphere of Max's museum and office. Normally most of my models are 1/48 but at 1/72 this guy has a 31" wingspan. It's one I haven't gotten around to showing the gang but maybe soon! Fun story I thought!
