Gorgeous models! By the way, I saw you had brought "Lair of the Rust Bunnies" to the IPMS Nationals; I saw it online.

Thank you, sir! :)
Impressive sir, love your work
Hey, thanks again everyone for the nice comments and suggestions. I really appreciate it!
I'm currently working on a car, but if I get back to an airplane any time soon, I'll try to blog it here.
I really appreciate the nice compliments.
Let me check my calender... this isn't April Fool's Day!?!!
Seriously nice work there Karl. Really like the pre-shading, not sure I'd have a steady enough hand to get it right in that scale.
Have you thought about using your weathering techniques to build a plane rusting away in an aircraft 'boneyard'?

KArl, Nice work with the pre-shading, looks about right for a Russian plane. If you are building a Stuka, build one of the ones with the monster cannon under the wings, I forget the model number. Or build the Henschel 129, with the really monster cannon under the fuselage. Thanks for sharing.

WOW. I thought my little Mustang was pretty cool... til now. lol
Those are amazing, Karl.
I've got a 144 Phantom that I may have to put together soon because of this awesomeness right here. :)

Thanks, Eric! I may get around to that 1/72 Foxbat one of these days.
Mississippi, I don't think I'd go for an older plane unless it was a Stuka, perhaps. But that idea certainly sounds right up my alley. Thanks for the comment and suggestion!
Great looking Migs Karl, hard to believe they are 1/144 scale. Hope to see more of your work here in the hangar!!
Eric
Hi Pawel, Max, seasick, Patrick, and Tim;
Thanks for the kind words! Certainly these were quite a departure for me but fun for sure. I may even be tempted to try that MIG 25 in 1/72....I love the looks of that thing.. :)Your comments are much appreciated!
I love your little MiGs, man!!!

Wow!!!!!
Chasing the ultimate build.
Hey Karl, Wow! nice job on those teeny things, I thought 1/72 was small! Keep up the good work.
Max
Hello Karl!
Those sure are cute! Sometimes the 1/144 can be very rewarding! Congratulations and thanks for sharing

Hi guys,
Stop the presses! I just finished two lil' 1/144 MIGs. Not the usual suspects for me, but I was bored with the same genres. I give you the Minicraft MIG-25 Foxbat and the Revell MIG-31 Foxhound in "sub-Braille scale". I'm sure they're full of things that I could have done better, but they look nice in the shelf...finished exclusively in Testor's Acrylics...
I did that pre-shading thing...
Finished pics....MIG 25
MIG 31
ANd both..
Hope you like 'em, guys. I don't normally get over here to the hangar, but I appreciate you looking in.
