Just an update. This stuff is some of the goofiest stuff I've worked with. Despite washing the plastic and wiping down the whole model with rubbing alcohol it peels off easily in some places and sticks like crazy in others.  I used gloves when I cleaned with alcohol and thereafter. Also de-tacked the tape

 

This seems odd. Are you thinning the Stynylrez with anything? (Don't)

Are you making sure it is going on nice and wet? (as opposed to spraying from too far away and drying before it hits the surface, for example?)

If you could talk a little about what primers you've used in the past and how you've applied them, that might help somebody to hit the correct solution.

I still wash the intact sprues in dish soap and warm water, then a thorough rinse several times. Then after assembling I give the entire surface a wipe with alcohol, followed by a complete sanding with a light abrasive pad. Then, after priming with Stynylrez comes another sanding and prepping for paint, never had any lifting with any finish.

It may be considered overkill, but I still feel it's important to wash before parts leave the sprues. Then sanding seems pretty clear to me, a good way to ensure the successive primer and paint layers have a sufficient "bite" to ensure good adhesion.

I am using the same stuff and have had no issues with paint lifting (MM Acryl paints).
