Back in '76, I was flying along in my Ercoupe north of St. Louis. I looked out and saw MAC's own bicentennial F-4 flying alongside, gear and flaps down. I am sure it was a challenge flying that Phantom as slow as my Ercoupe. Fortunately, I happened to have my camera along, and grabbed a shot of that! MAC's own bird was a much simpler paint scheme, white with a band of blue, and some stars. I had that photo for many years, but was looking for it last year, and it was gone, just a memory now.
I guess that pilot liked antique aircraft, and just wanted to have a good look :-)
